Liposuction

Liposuction aims to permanently eliminate stubborn fat deposits that are often resistant to diet and exercise.

The result is a subtle, yet noticeable reduction in body weight.

Liposuction results are optimal when the patient is close to desired weight outcome. The process aims to find the perfect balance between slimming, smoothing, and shaping in order to achieve beautiful and natural contours. The procedure can be extremely satisfying for patients who simply can't find a solution for certain body regions.

  • Starting with a consultation, Dr. Brady will help create a strategy for optimal results. It is important to understand that optimal results with this procedure are achieved when dieting and exercise have been implemented as much as possible.

Almost any area of the body can be improved with liposuction, but the most commonly treated areas are: thighs, abdomen, buttocks, flanks (love handles), arms, back, face, chin and neck.

Most liposuction procedure lasts 1-2 hours and performed with sedation. This generally avoids the stomach upset commonly found after general anesthesia.

The procedure is performed using tumescent anesthesia. This involves the injection of fluid mixed with dilute local anesthesia to make the fat easier to remove and virtually painless.

The patient recovers in our recovery room for about an hour after the procedure and sent home with little or no pain.

  • Soreness and swelling will develop over the next few days, but most people are able to return to normal activities and work in 2-3 days. Patient satisfaction with liposuction is extremely high.
